The UNLV/NRCC Beowulf cluster is used to perform large MCNPX calculations. The computer system currently consists of 225 3200+ AMD processors that utilize a 10/100/1000 network. On August 1 of 2006, 110 3400+ processors will be added to the cluster giving a total of 335 usable machines. The NRCC group is a beta test team for the MCNPX code through Los Alamos and currently runs MCNPX 2.6.a.
